David Dinoso joined Gottlieb & Janey as Counsel in August 2018 where he was assigned to the firm’s Civil Litigation, Securities and Regulatory group. Within the complex civil practice, in addition to federal litigation practice broadly, Mr. Dinoso focuses his efforts on bankruptcy litigation, including the representation of chapter 11 and chapter 7 trustees.
Prior to joining Gottlieb & Janey, Mr. Dinoso worked at a New York bankruptcy boutique where he served as general counsel to the firm’s principal in his capacity as a panel chapter 7 trustee for the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, chapter 11 trustee and federal equity receiver. In both corporate and individual cases, Mr. Dinoso maximized stakeholder recoveries by successfully handling a wide variety of transactional, litigation, and contested matters including section 363 asset sales, chapter 11 plan confirmations, claims objections, adversary proceedings under chapter 5 of the Bankruptcy Code, and bankruptcy appeals.
Before attending Brooklyn Law School, Mr. Dinoso worked for the City of New York supervising an 11 member team tasked with conducting official investigations into police misconduct allegations.
Mr. Dinoso is admitted to practice law before the courts of the State of New York and the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
