Firm Name Change
Effective August 3, 2016, we are pleased to formally announce that our firm will be known as GOTTLIEB & JANEY LLP.
Our new name reflects the ongoing successful expansion of our firm’s representation of clients in complex civil and commercial litigation especially within the financial services and securities markets arena. Several years ago we started the civil practice to compliment the successful and highly respected criminal defense practice started over 30 years ago. The strategy has been enormous value-add for our clients as both practices work together, often symbiotically within the same client matter.
The firm’s founder, Robert C. Gottlieb has overseen the Criminal Defense practice since the firm’s inception. This practice concentrates on serious white collar, federal, and state crimes in New York and throughout the country. We have a deep understanding and knowledge of the most effective defenses available for our clients.
Derrelle Janey oversees the Civil Litigation, Securities and Regulatory practice to address the particular civil and regulatory litigation needs of our clients. This ranges from the commencement of actions against former officers of a broker-dealer on behalf of the firm to defending individual brokers against FINRA, SEC, CFTC investigations and enforcement actions, as well as Department of Justice White Collar criminal prosecutions.
We are confident that the dedication of our attorneys will continue to successfully serve the needs of our clients for many years to come.
